Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply to everyone who reads, comments on or writes for voomplaa.com (“Voomplaa”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Using the site
You may read, share and link to our articles for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:
- break any law, or use the site to harass, defraud or harm anyone;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the site, interfere with how it works, or upload malicious code;
- copy our content at scale with automated tools, or republish it in full without written permission.
Information, not professional advice
Our articles on business, money, health, law and other subjects are general information. They are not financial, medical, legal or other professional advice, and they may not suit your situation. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions that matter. We work to keep articles accurate and up to date, but we can’t guarantee that every detail is complete or current.
Our content
The articles, images, design and branding on Voomplaa belong to us or to the writers and photographers who license them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may quote a short extract if you credit Voomplaa and link to the original article.
Comments
You are responsible for what you post. Comments must be relevant, lawful and respectful, and must not contain spam, personal attacks, or other people’s personal information. We may edit or remove any comment, and block anyone who repeatedly breaks these rules.
By posting a comment you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display it on the site.
Guest contributions
If you submit an article, you confirm that it is your original work, that you have the right to publish everything in it (including images), and that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or break any law. You must tell us about any payment or business relationship connected to what you write.
You keep the copyright in your article. You give us a free, worldwide licence to edit, publish, promote and keep it on Voomplaa. We may edit submissions for clarity, accuracy, length and style, and we decide what is published. See our writing guidelines for details.
Sponsored content and other websites
Some articles are sponsored or contain affiliate links, and are labelled as such. We may earn a commission if you buy through those links, at no extra cost to you.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
Availability
We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time, and we don’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
Disclaimer and limits of our liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or business, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Your rights as a consumer
These terms do not take away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live, including in the European Union, the United Kingdom, India and the United States. If any part of these terms conflicts with those laws, the law wins.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be heard by the courts of India. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also bring a claim in the courts of your home country, and the mandatory laws of that country still protect you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
