New Delhi, online desk. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has extended the lockdown for a week in Delhi. It has now been extended from 26 April to 3 May. There will be a lockdown till 5 am on May 3. Meanwhile all the necessary services will continue in the same way as before. No other changes have been made. This will help prevent corona infection. He gave this information while giving a digital press talk on Sunday. During this, he also told about the lack of oxygen in Delhi.

He said that the infection rate in Delhi has reached 37 percent. Today, however, the infection rate has come down to 30 percent. I am not saying that the infection rate is coming down. It can also increase. So, we are working with full vigilance.

There is complete support from the central government. Yesterday, meetings of different ministries were held with officials of the Central Government and the Government of Delhi. The central government is also making efforts to get full oxygen to Delhi. But this problem still remains.

He informed that Delhi has now allocated 490 MT of oxygen. Yesterday, the central government has increased by 10 tonnes. But oxygen is reaching only 335 MT in Delhi. We and our officers are engaged day and night. In many places we have been successful, some places have also failed. But we are working hard. But there is a very difficult situation.

We have created a portal on which, from the oxygen manufacturer to the hospitals, they will have to tell in 2-2 hours what their status is. Which will continue to know in which hospital the oxygen is left for what time. So that appropriate steps can be taken.

Meanwhile, more than three lakh cases of corona virus are being reported in the country. According to the latest data, 3 lakh 49 thousand 691 cases have been registered in the last 24 hours while 2,767 people have lost their lives. According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health, the total number of infected people has so far reached 1,69,60,172, of which the number of active cases is 26,82,751. The death toll has reached 1,92,311. With this, 2,17,113 have also been cured, after which the number of patients recovering has reached 1,40,85,110.

Let us know that on the previous day i.e. Saturday, 3,46,786 new cases were registered in the country. This was the fourth consecutive day when more than three lakh cases were reported. The speed at which corona cases are increasing is at the same pace as the vaccination campaign. More and more people are being motivated to get vaccinated. Till date 14,09,16,417 people have been vaccinated in the country.
